About Michigan Plums

Michigan plums are grown on family farms on the rolling hills and ridges of the Michigan lower peninsula. The Great Lakes surrounding the lower peninsula on three sides provides protection against unfavorable weather conditions.

Most fresh plums are sold in local markets and nearby cities.  The introduction of new fresh market varieties from New York and Canada has expanded the choices available to the consumer.
